That keeps every name on the list forever, and you can shift the months later.

Does remarriage end a surviving spouse's Fry Scholarship?

No. Under a January 2025 law change (Pub. L. 118-210), remarriage no longer ends Fry Scholarship eligibility — at any age. Older guides that say remarriage forfeits Fry are out of date. Chapter 35 has different remarriage rules for spouses, and DIC has its own age-based remarriage rules — the three programs are commonly confused.
